Types of Acrylic
CAST – Cast acrylic is manufactured through a process called polymerization. Methyl Methacrylate monomer (MMA) liquid is pumped into a mold made of two sheets of glass. The mold is put in warm water, polymerization occurs, and a high tech sheet of rigid acrylic is produced.
EXTRUDED – Extruded acrylic is manufactured by pushing an acrylic mass through a specially designed form. Extruded acrylic sheets are more adaptable to thickness.
