DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules
and issues. - Handle loading and unloading of cargo as required.
- Report any mechanical issues or accidents to management immediately.
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding safety and equipment operation.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid commercial driver’s license in 10-wheeler truck.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Proven experience as a truck driver.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good physical condition and stamina for long hours on the road.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with specific types of freight (e.g., hazardous materials, refrigerated goods).
- Familiarity with GPS and other navigation systems.
- Willing to work long hours and extended periods away from home may be required.
- May involve driving in various weather conditions.
